The French International School of Philadelphia is a not-for-profit
corporation governed by a Board of Directors.
The by-laws of the French International School of Philadelphia, which
is licensed by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges
and accredited by the French Ministry of Education, were established
on January 22, 1991.
At the present time, our Board is comprised between 17 to 25 members
with a three year-term of office; some of them are parents, some are
non-parents, and 2 are staff, including the Head of School and two faculty
members; some are French and some American. The Board of Directors works
through committees led by a Chair who reports to the Board.
The Honorary Consul of France and the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson
of the Parents' Association are ex-officio members of the Board of Directors.
