Annual Giving
"Annual Giving" is the name given to the fund raising effort conducted by the school's Development Office from July 1 through June 30 each year. Its purpose is to provide unrestricted operating support for the school and represents about three percent of budgeted revenue. An appeal for funds is necessary because in most American independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating a student. Contributors to the fund include parents, grandparents, friends, and alumni families, as well as charitable foundations, and corporations. A strong Annual Giving campaign benefits families by
- Helping them to keep tuition increases to a minimum
- Helping the school remain affordable for a broad range of families
